Bio

Currently I am working on a Ph.D. at the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville where as Leaders for Transition Scholar (L4T), an OSEP Doctoral Scholarship program at the U of A in Fayetteville and the University of Oklahoma U of O. Before entering this program I served as the director of the Arkansas School for the Deaf (ASD) State Support Services Program. Prior to my and during my tenure at ASD I served young children and their families through early intervention and early childhood special education. I support improvements for young children with disabilities at various levels that include being a direct provider working with families to state level systemic improvement initiatives, to the national level to improve practices and the education of future practitioners and leaders in the field. My research interests include best practices for children and students who are deaf or hard of hearing, cross disciplinary practices, inclusive practices, teacher preparation, and transition across the lifespan.
