I provide Technical Assistance for Kentucky’s Early Intervention System and have been developing and delivering early intervention trainings for the last eleven years. I played an integral role in the development of the Recommended Knowledge and Skills for Service Coordinators relying heavily on the experience of developing similar tools for Kentucky's Early Intervention System. For Kentucky, I helped develop Program Standards, Core Competencies, Early Intervention Provider Performance Standards and self-assessment tool, and Service Coordinator Performance Standards and self-assessment tool. These tools are helping lay the foundation for expectations, defining the importance of the different roles, guiding the development of training, and providing a measurement for performance.
